On June 3, Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (CCIC) hosted a delegation from the Republic of Turkey, led by H.E. Görkem Barış Tantekin, Ambassador of Turkey to Lithuania. The delegation included Commercial Counsellor Mr. Gökhan Karaca and representatives from the Turkey-Lithuania Chamber of Commerce.
The purpose of the visit was to establish connections with the leadership and community of Kaunas CCIC and to engage with businesses interested in the Turkish market.
During the meeting, Kaunas CCIC President Mr. Zigmantas Dargevičius emphasized that the Kaunas and Marijampolė regions, represented by the Chamber, offer a dynamic and growth-friendly business environment. These regions are characterized by a robust industrial base, a rapidly developing technology sector, and modern infrastructure, making them particularly attractive for foreign investment.
The Ambassador acknowledged Turkey’s increasing interest in Lithuania and highlighted the untapped potential for cooperation between the Baltic and Black Sea regions.
Mr. Ümit Ateşaoğlu, Executive Director of the Turkey-Lithuania Chamber of Commerce, introduced the Chamber, established in 2024, and expressed a strong desire to foster closer ties, share relevant information, and involve Kaunas CCIC in upcoming events and joint initiatives.
The meeting concluded with a discussion session, during which participants shared their perspectives and explored opportunities for collaboration.
