    On the 21st of April, a delegation from the Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts visited Bialystok Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts in Poland. During the visit, not only the ties with the neighboring country’s business community were strengthened, but new opportunities for cooperation in border regions were also explored.

    Andrius Verbyla, General Director of the Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts and General Secretary Rimas Varkulevičius were welcomed by Jarosław Antychowicz, Bialystok’s Chamber President and Honorary President Witold Karczewski.

    During the meeting, significant attention was paid to Lithuania’s Kaunas and Marijampolė regions, as well as to the cooperation of business organizations in Poland’s Podlaskie Voivodeship. Opportunities to more actively involve businesses in joint initiatives, foster partnerships and strengthen economic cooperation between neighboring regions were discussed.

    The Bialystok Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts unites about 250 companies from the region. It is self-governing organization, which actively represents business interests. In addition to its regular activities, the Chamber also operates a commercial arbitration institution that helps to resolve business disputes.

    During the visit, both sides presented their respective activities, exchanged experience in key areas of operation and discussed prospects for future cooperation, including potential joint initiatives aimed at strengthening institutional and business ties. It was agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between the Białystok Chamber of Commerce and the Kaunas Chamber of Commerce through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, aimed at establishing a structured framework for future collaboration and joint initiatives.

    The meeting confirmed the mutual commitment of the Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts and the Białystok Chamber to further strengthening their cooperation and developing future joint initiatives.
