On May 14, a meeting with His Excellency Shinsuke Shimizu, Ambassador of Japan, was held at the Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts. The Ambassador visited at the invitation of the President of the Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, Zigmantas Dargevičius.
This visit marks another important milestone in the development of economic and institutional relations between Lithuania and Japan. Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts is proud of a long-term and consistently nurtured partnership with the Fukuyama Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan. Over many years, close cooperation ties have been established. There were regular friendship and working visits and the Chamber’s delegation has visited Japan as well.
During the meeting, the President of the Kaunas Chamber emphasized the goal of actively developing and deepening mutual relations between the business communities of Lithuania and Japan. He noted that such visits not only strengthen international collaboration but also open new opportunities in the fields of business, innovation and cultural exchange.
Representatives of companies working in the Japanese market or having business interests in the country also participated in the meeting. Cooperation prospects, export opportunities and the potential of the Japanese market for Lithuanian businesses were also discussed.
The Ambassador’s visit to Kaunas, proved that the attention of both countries’ institutions and business communities to the international cooperation is growing.
At the end of the visit, it was agreed to continue close dialogue, strengthen mutual relations, contribute to planned initiatives and seek new opportunities for cooperation.
