From 13 to 17 October 2025, Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (KCCIC), in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Singapore and the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), organized a business mission to Singapore.
The mission’s objective was to reinforce bilateral business ties between Lithuania and Singapore, gain insights into Singapore’s innovation landscape and economic environment, and seek new export and collaboration opportunities in the Southeast Asia region.
During the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to explore advanced Singaporean companies and research centers. At the DHL Asia Pacific Innovation Center, participants were introduced to supply chain transformation solutions and future logistics strategies. PSA Corporation presented port digitalization and innovation initiatives that help maintain competitiveness in maritime trade. Visits to A*STAR research centers presented advanced manufacturing and processing technologies, as well as collaboration models across science, business, and the public sector.
Delegation members also took part in the international conference “Europe Conference: Sustainability, Innovation, Digital Trade” organized by SBF, where more than 300 companies from Europe and Singapore met. Discussions centered around sustainability, innovation, and digital trade trends, and B2B meetings took place.
Lithuanian companies had the chance to form new business connections, present the strengths of the Lithuanian business sector, and look for potential partners in the Southeast Asia region.
In addition, the mission visited the international industrial engineering expo Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC 2025, attended by participants from over 70 countries. This event, one of the key gatherings for advanced industry in the Asia-Pacific region, focuses strongly on digital manufacturing, robotics, industrial automation, additive manufacturing, sustainability, and resilience. At the expo, the latest solutions were showcased to enable efficient manufacturing processes, apply innovative technologies, guarantee energy efficiency, and adapt to modern industrial challenges. Thus, the exhibition not only promoted technological advancement but also strengthened the resilience and sustainability of the industrial sector.
As part of the event, a presentation by Lithuania entitled “Industry Transformation in the Asia-Pacific Region” was held, where the Lithuanian innovation ecosystem and investment opportunities were highlighted.
During the visit, the delegation met with the Ambassador of Lithuania to Singapore, Darius Gaidys, the Commercial Attaché Arūnas Karlonas, and the Second Secretary Rokas Danilevičius. At the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Singapore, the delegation was familiarized with the diplomatic mission’s operations and discussed prospects for economic cooperation between Lithuania and Singapore, Singapore’s business environment, entry strategies into the market, and possible export and partnership opportunities in the region. They also met with consulting company Hawksford, which presented the legal basis for establishing companies in Singapore, possible legal forms, the tax system, and specifics of labor relations.
This business mission to Singapore marked a significant stage in strengthening Lithuania–Singapore economic ties, promoting innovation, and developing export opportunities in the Southeast Asia region. Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts’ delegation and business representatives returned with valuable insights, forged important new business relations, and had promising meetings that are expected to grow into successful partnerships and further expansion into international markets.
