The SMEadapt project aims to strengthen the role of SME employer organisations in social dialogue on climate change adaptation and resilience. Anchored in the principles of a just transition and resilience-by-design, the project equips SME organisations with the strategic capacity, tools, and policy voice needed to confront growing climate risks—ensuring business continuity and protecting workers.
The project focuses on three priorities:
- Enhancing SME preparedness for climate-related disruptions (e.g. heatwaves, floods, droughts, wildfires);
- Promoting inclusive workplace adaptation and occupational safety strategies;
- Strengthening SME input into national and EU climate policy development.
