On September 23 – 24, a delegation of 25 business representatives, organized by Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, visited Lithuania. Led by the Executive Vice President of Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Iljun Park, the delegation included representatives from companies such as Samsung, LG Electronics, POSCO International Corporation, SK E&S Co., Ltd, and others.
During Lithuania – South Korea Business Forum held on September 23, the guests were welcomed by Lithuanian Vice Minister of Economy and Innovation, KarolisŽemaitis, and President of Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, SigitasGailiūnas. The forum presented Lithuanian business environment and investment potential, and discussions focused on opportunities to intensify economic and business relations between the two countries.
At a subsequent networking event, companies from both countries had the opportunity to learn more about each other`s activities and discuss potential areas of cooperation.
Special attention was given to introducing the South Korean delegation to specific Lithuanian companies. The delegation visited ,,Šviesos Konversija“, a laser manufacturing company. Additionally, part of the business delegation visited the Life Sciences Center, the Center for Physical and Technological Sciences, and biotechnology companies. Another group of business representatives travelled to Klaipėda, where they visited the Klaipėda State Seaport Authority to learn about the port`s operations and were presented with port infrastructure development and incentives for South Korean capital in Lithuania`s Klaipėda Free Economic Zone.
