On 12 November 2025, a representative of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation and an expert from Lithuania’s SOLVIT Centre, Laura Purinė, visited Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (KCCIC) to meet with the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) project team. The purpose of the visit was to discuss opportunities for closer cooperation and ways to jointly increase Lithuanian businesses’ awareness of the opportunities offered by the EU internal market, as well as the assistance provided by the SOLVIT Centre.
What is SOLVIT? SOLVIT is a network operating in all European Union countries that helps citizens and companies resolve problems arising from the incorrect application of EU legislation in other member states. Typically, these are cases where businesses face administrative difficulties, trade barriers, or decisions by institutions in other countries that do not comply with EU law. Importantly, SOLVIT’s services are free, and its informal way of working allows for quick and practical solutions for both businesses and individuals.
During the meeting, Laura Purinė presented the SOLVIT Centre’s activities, discussed the most common issues faced by businesses, and emphasized that Lithuanian business representatives are still insufficiently aware of this opportunity. Therefore, on the Ministry’s initiative, they aim to deepen cooperation with business support organisations, including Kaunas Chamber’s EEN project.
Chamber and EEN representatives discussed possible joint initiatives:
• Presentations of the SOLVIT Centre to chamber members and the business community, both online and in person;
• Sharing information through EEN’s channels and newsletters;
• Involving SOLVIT representatives in upcoming business events and seminars.
Strengthening cooperation between the Enterprise Europe Network and the SOLVIT Centre is a key step to ensure that Lithuanian companies operating in the EU market have all the necessary information and support to deal with internal-market-related issues.
