On July 15, H.E. Noora Mohammed Juma, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Latvia, who is also accredited to Lithuania, visited the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Crafts. H.E. Noora Mohammed Juma met with the Vice Presidents of Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (KCCIC), Vydas Damalakas and Vidas Butkus. The newly appointed ambassador inquired about the Lithuania–UAE Business Council coordinated by the Kaunas Chamber, as well as its activities and ongoing initiatives.
During the meeting, attention was given to the projects carried out by the Lithuania–UAE Business Council, its strategic directions, and existing or planned formats for international cooperation. Vidas Butkus, Chairman of the Lithuania–UAE Business Council and Vice President of the KCCIC, presented current priorities, challenges, and areas in which the support and cooperation of the embassy are expected. The ambassador expressed her interest in contributing to the strengthening of bilateral ties, promoting economic relations, and facilitating information exchange between institutions and business representatives. They also discussed the types of support the embassy could provide to strengthen interactions within the business communities and assist in establishing new contacts.
The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to enhance cooperation, intensify the exchange of relevant information, and jointly contribute to the development of the Business Council’s activities in the future. It was also agreed to hold such meetings regularly to maintain consistent dialogue and ensure the timely exchange of information.
