Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts had the honor of welcoming a business delegation from Kazakhstan on March 19th, 2024. Led by Akerkin Eraliyeva, the Director – General of the Almaty Chamber of Commerce, the delegation was comprised of representatives from various companies, interested in opportunities for collaboration and investment in Lithuania.
The visit started with an insightful presentation introducing the Lithuanian market and highlighting the operational chamber framework in the country, along with the opportunities available within Kaunas Free Economic Zone.
An exchange of ideas took place during the meeting, enlighting the business landscape in Almaty and Kazakhstan. Discussions revolved around the avenues for business expansion and the current market conditions, fostering a dynamic interaction with representatives from diverse business sectors.
Entrepreneurs used the opportunity to ask questions, related to potential collaborations and market dynamics in Kazakhstan.
Following the formal session, Lithuanian companies had an opportunity to have individual meetings with the visiting delegates, to discuss the opportunities of further cooperation and collaboration.
Kazakhstan, renowned for its rich culture, history and abundant natural resources, presents itself as a promising business partner. Sectors such as food industry, machinery, education, wood, metal industry, plastics, logistics and transportation services were identified as particularly perspective for export opportunities to Kazakhstan.
Zigmantas Dargevičius, the president of Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, expressed his gratitude to the Kazakh delegation for their valuable insights and contributions, underscoring the importance of such productive engagements in fostering international business ties.
The visit concluded on a positive note with the exchange of souvenirs, symbolizing the spirit of collaboration and friendship between the two nations.
