On the 17th of June, a delegation from Latvia visited Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts.
In cooperation with Enterprise Europe Network, business matchmaking meetings were held to strengthen ties between Lithuanian and Latvian companies, encourage the development of new partnerships and expand cooperation opportunities. The third business mission was organized together with Latvia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry in order to foster the collaboration between Lithuania’s and Latvia’s communities.
At the beginning of the meeting, the business environment of the Kaunas region, its economic potential, investment opportunities, and key aspects of the region’s industrial and innovation development were presented to the members of the Latvian delegation. The activities and services offered to businesses by the Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts were also presented to the guests.
Following the presentation, individual B2B meetings were organized based on pre-prepared participant profiles and identified areas of interest for collaboration. This format enabled company representatives to establish new connections and talk about possible collaborations. The meetings brought together representatives from companies across diverse sectors, such as energy, packaging manufacturing, healthcare services, artificial intelligence, language technologies and more.
Representatives of Lithuanian companies actively explored cooperation opportunities with Latvian businesses. During the discussions, prospects for export expansion, the application of innovative solutions, the development of new supply chains, and opportunities for joint projects in the Baltic States and other European markets were addressed. The participants’ engagement and the large number of meetings held confirmed strong interest from Lithuanian businesses in new partnerships and regional cooperation.
Participants at the event emphasized that in-person business matchmaking meetings are still among the most effective means of forging new connections and evaluating the potential for collaboration. Such events offer the chance to showcase one’s activities, gain insight into partners’ needs, share experiences, and explore solutions that benefit all parties involved.
The contacts formed during the event are anticipated to provide a foundation for ongoing collaboration between Lithuanian and Latvian companies, potentially evolving into specific business initiatives that will foster economic development in both nations, enhance competitiveness, and strengthen business connections within the Baltic region.
