On the 25th of July, Lithuanian Ambassador to Japan, H.E. Aurelijus Zykas, accompanied with the delegation from Japan, visited Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts. The delegation included the Honorary Consul General of Japan, who is also the Chairman of the Fukuyama Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the President and CEO of the transportation company „Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd“, Mr. Shigehiro Komaru, along with his team.
The purpose of the visit was to meet with the representatives of Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts in Lithuania and to discuss further collaboration opportunities between the Chambers of Commerce and business enterprises of Japan and Lithuania.
During the meeting, H.E. Ambassador A. Zykas expressed his delight over the existing projects with Lithuania in the fields of education and culture and conveyed his hope to deepen cooperation in the economic sector, promoting a closer connection between the Chambers of Commerce and business enterprises of both countries. The Honorary Consul and the Chairman of the Fukuyama Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Shigehiro Komaru, thanked the hosts for the opportunity to learn more about Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts and expressed his hope to maintain and strengthen mutual relations.
The President of Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, Zigmantas Dargevičius, thanked the guests for the opportunity to meet and for the invitation to initiate cooperation.
It was agreed to cooperate in the future by exchanging information and organizing joint initiatives to strengthen mutual cooperation between Lithuania and Japan.
