Break gender stereotypes, give talent a chance!

This initiative aims to assist SMEs in Europe to maximize employees’ potential, and boost both productivity and competitiveness, by going beyond gender stereotypes.

Break gender stereotypes, give talent a chance ” shows you that gender equality action can improve business performance and success through:

  • a "toolkit" for better and full use of individual talents within a company;
  • training workshops on how to gain competitiveness through gender equality action;
  • consultancy and information;
  • opportunities to boost company visibility.

Activities target staff of Chambers of Commerce; business and professional associations; training bodies; businessmen and businesswomen; managers within small and medium sized enterprises; human resource managers; and all those who work to improve quality and competitiveness within SMEs.

Video clips on good practice

A video collection of good practice implemented in European SMEs for the promotion of gender equality

10 video clips on good practice  featuring the stories of European SMEs which have enhanced their performance by breaking gender stereotypes.

5 videos are available in the original languages with subtitles in the language of the following European countries: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Estonia, Greece, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia.

National reviews

A collection of reviews of the national situation on gender segregation and SMEs for the purpose of the workshops in European countries and EFTA countries (Iceland and Norway).

Toolkit for SME Advisors and Human Resource Managers

A tool for raising the awareness of SME employers and employees, business associations, etc. about gender stereotypes in the world of work.

Toolkit ‘Breaking gender stereotypes - Building good business: tips and tools for smart managers’

A set of practical business-oriented tools for overcoming gender stereotypes and promoting more efficient and equitable use of human resources in SMEs through a Gender Equality Action Plan.
